First up … Prepare your bod. “Exfoliating before tan application is vital to achieve the perfect, even result,” Monika recommends shaving or waxing at least 24 hours before tanning to avoid those tiny brown dots, which are actually tan build-up in the hair follicle, and keeping your skin free of oils, lotions, deodorants and perfumes.
Wear loose clothing and thongs to your appointment to prevent the tan from being disturbed too much by the fabric and also so you don’t get staining on your favourite new jeans!
& Then aftercare… Once you are ready to wash, you must ensure it is a quick shower – plenty of other opportunities to make life decisions – this shower needs to be no longer than 2 minutes, although in saying that, do not be afraid of the water, as you need to make sure you are thoroughly rinsing the excess bronzer off for a streak free tan.
Now we moisturise, moisturise & moisturise!!! We recommend the La Man tan extender for best results!
Time to go… “A good tan will last four to seven days,” says Monika. Once your tan starts to fade or you’re ready to remove it, exfoliate and massage your skin in circular motions until the tan lightens. Our feggari peeling glove works wonders here!
